How do we reserve a spot?

  • Capitol Area Council units do not have to pay a camping fee to use any Capitol Area Council camping property for regular weekend camping or day events. Out of Council units will have to pay $5 per camper
  • Campsites are reserved on a first-come, first-served basis
  • All units, in or out of council: CLICK HERE to get our council's Short Term Camping Permit. This allows us to reserve your campsite, and know how many Scouts and leaders to expect. Complete it and return it to our council's office at least 14 days before your trip.
  • Out of council units only: CLICK HERE to submit BSA's Online Tour Permit, available through the MyScouting portal. If you get this done prior to 2 weeks before your trip, you won't have to send in a paper copy.
  • If you are camping overnight and using DOK’s Tower, don’t forget to complete and submit DOK’s Tower forms and fees one month before use
  • All units must satisfy BSA two deep leadership standards
  • All program area fees must be paid in advance to the Capitol Area Council office
