Service Projects
WHAT: Special Olympics Texas annual state equestrian competition
WHEN: Saturday, May 19, 8am-2pm
WHERE: Brazos County Expo Center
SERVICE NEEDED: Volunteers to conduct presentation of colors at Opening Ceremonies from 8am to 9am as well as volunteers to facilitate an Athlete Village until 2pm. An Athlete Village is a place for athletes to visit in between competitions and consists of a couple of games, a craft and maybe karaoke.
WHAT: Capital of Texas Triathlon
WHEN: Monday, May 28
WHERE: Downtown Austin, Texas
SERVICE NEEDED: Tasks include registration help, body marking, swim course safety, bike and run course monitors, finish line and post race support, and other area support.

WHAT: Heart of Texas Green Expo
WHEN: Friday and Saturday, June 8-9, 8am-5pm
WHERE: Bastrop Convention Center
SERVICE NEEDED: Scouts of all ages are needed to sell and collect tickets, direct parking, traffic control, and pick up trash. There will be a volunteer rally on May 2, at the Lost Pines Toyota dealership in Bastrop. Scout leaders who are interested in volunteering are encouraged to attend this event for more information.
