The Boy Scouts’ national council charges $33 per year to be a Scout. The fee is pro-rated through the year at $2.75 per month of membership.

So:
Scouts joining in April pay $24.75
Scouts joining in September pay $11.00
Scouts joining in October pay $8.25

Families may subscribe to Boys’ Life magazine for $12.00 per year. Subscribers receive a monthly magazine addressed to the Scout showing Scouts in action and Scout Skills. Boys’ Life encourages Scouts to read for fun.  Boys' Life magazine is also pro-rated through the year for at $1 per month of membership.

Registration Assistance

We believe Scouting should be available to all families. Assistance is available in case of financial hardship or need.

Registration assistance may be requested from the Capitol Area Council through your Cub Scout Pack.

“Camperships” (camp/activity scholarships) may be requested directly by families using the Campership form available at www.bsacac.org/camperships.
