Webelos Winter Camp 2011 December 27 - 30 Webelos Winter Camp will be held at Cub World on Lost Pines Scout Reservation, located at 785 FM 1441, Bastrop, TX Arrival Time: 1:00 p.m. - 5:00 pm on Tuesday, Dec. 27, 2011 Departure Time: after closing ceremony on Friday, Dec. 30, 2011 (12:00 noon approx.)
Fee for Webelos Scouts will be $120 and fee for adults will be $60. Activity Badges & Session Schedule Below is a list of sessions offered for both first year Webelos and second year Webelos. Track #1 Naturalist Geologist Craftsman Sportsman Citizen Artist

Scouts will be placed in patrols and visit each activity on an assigned rotation. There are 6 sessions per day and the same schedule will apply each full day of camp. We cannot insure that all Scouts from a pack will be together in sessions. There is ample free time for these Scouts to interact outside the sessions. We will, on availability, assign packs to the same campsites. Please pick either Track #1 or Track #2. Mixing and matching activity badges is not offered at Webelos Winter Camp 2011.
Directions to Cub World: To reach Lost Pines Scout Reservation and Camp Tom Wooten from Austin using Hwy 290: East on Highway 290 to Elgin. South on Highway 95 approximately 12.8 miles to FM 1441. East on FM 1441 3.4 miles. South into Lost Pines Scout Reservation. Just after entering, take an immediate left at Cub World sign go 2.5 miles and check in at Wooten Lodge.
Or, reach Lost Pines Scout Reservation and Camp Tom Wooten from Austin using Hwy 71: East on Highway 71 to Bastrop. North on Highway 95 approximately 3.8 miles to FM 1441. East on FM 1441 3.4 miles. South into Lost Pines Scout Reservation. - Just after entering, take an immediate left at Cub World sign go 2.5 miles and check in at Wooten Lodge.
Participants are encouraged to carpool to camp due to the limited number of parking spaces available at Cub World. The Trading Post will be open to purchase snacks and merchandise during the event. Participants will have an opportunity to purchase additional t-shirts, hats, Cub Scouting items, and crafts at our fully stocked trading post. Restroom and showers are available at Cub World in addition to portable toilets and latrines located throughout camp.

Evening Programs including Campfire, movie night and and Star Gazing Tentage & Equipment:All participants must furnish their own tents and camping equipment. If no fire ban is in effect, firewood can be gathered at camp. NO TREES ARE TO BE CUT. You may wish to bring firewood with you.Leaders & Adults: The success of Webelos Winter Camp depends on your participation. We have volunteers coming to teach, but the heart of our leadership comes from parents attending with their sons. We need all registered leaders who are attending Webelos Winter Camp to please sign up to pitch in on an advancement session or help with special events. Click here to receive the volunteer form. BEFORE CAMP, ADULTS MUST TURN IN: a copy of the Background & Character Reference Form, to be in compliance with the Texas Youth Camp Safety act of 2006. Parent Information: You will enjoy the fun and excitement of Cub World at Camp Tom Wooten. No prior camping experience is needed, but you will need to bring your own camping equipment (i.e. tent, sleeping bags, personal toiletries, flashlights, etc.). We suggest you bring a wagon or cart to transport camp gear from the parking area to the campsite. To ensure the safety, security, and enjoyment of ALL participants, please read and abide by the following rules: Webelos Scouts must attend with a parent or guardian. Medical forms for each Webelos Scout and adult partner must be turned in at check in. PARK IN DESIGNATED AREA ONLY. No vehicles will be allowed in the campsites. In accordance with BSA national standards, no one will be allowed to ride in the back of a truck at any time and helmets must be worn when bicycling. Due to limited space, no siblings are allowed to attend Webelos Winter Camp. No campfires (except program) will be permitted if fire ban is in effect.
No Pets are allowed Do not climb on any fences. Most fences are for safety purposes and mark the reservation boundary. All participants must follow any and all rules that are posted, printed, or announced. Late arrivals, please report to Wooten Lodge for registration.
