Volunteer Day at Bastrop State Park March 3

Details
Bastrop State Park has announced its next volunteer workday. This is an erosion control project, installing straw logs on steep, eroding hillsides. The work is considered moderate and will involve bending, walking on steep hills, carrying (relatively light) straw logs and possibly walking long distances.

Ages 10 and up only

Date: Saturday March 3
Time: 9am–2pm
Difficulty: moderate

You MUST RSVP for this workday. Space is extremely limited and the workday will fill up fast. To RSVP, email katie.raney@tpwd.state.tx.us or call Katie Raney at  512-718-0211.

Volunteers should wear close-toed shoes, long pants and long-sleeved shirts. They should also bring work gloves. All other equipment, including hardhats, will be provided.
