Background:
Capitol Area Council Health and Safety Committee based this decision on the information available and actions of LCRA, Texas Forest Service, and Travis County Parks Department implemented on 4-25-2011. Capitol Area Council (CAC) imposes ground fire bans on its properties by following county burn ban decisions. CAC is following the stepped-up restrictions enacted by LCRA & many State and Local municipalities due to the danger posed by dry conditions in our area.
