As featured on several newscasts Monday night, Boy Scout Troop 1409 (Blackland Prairie District) is collecting supplies for families affected by the house fires in Wells Branch. Items needed include:

• Baby formula
• Diapers
• School supplies for two middle school boys and one 3rd grade boy
• Clothes for two middle school boys (sizes 13-14 and 11-12) and one 3rd grade boy (size 6-7)
  
• Baby clothing in sizes 0-3 months and 3-6 months
• Toys

VISA gift cards will also help.

United Christian Church is assisting Troop 1409's relief efforts by handling the cash donations. Mail donations to United Christian Church, 3500 W. Parmer Ln, Austin, TX 78728. Please note that your contribution is for the “Wells Branch Fires.”

If you would like to donate online, United Christian Church has set up a Paypal link on its webpage: www.uccaustin.org. Please note: your Paypal donations will indicate they were given to UCC Youth, but those donations will go to the Wells Branch families.

Troop 1409 is collecting donations now through Sunday, August 28, 2011 at the Wells Branch recreation center at 3000 Shoreline Drive.
