The Peace Light is coming to the Frank Fickett Scout Training and Service Center this Saturday, December 10, 2011. All Scouts are invited to come to the Puett Eagle Plaza at 10am to receive the Peace Light. Please bring a lantern or candle with you if you want to take the Peace Light home. In the event of bad weather, the Peace Light will be available inside the Fickett Center.
The Peace Light originates from an eternal flame that is kept burning in the grotto manger in Bethlehem where Jesus was born. It reminds us all to bring peace to our world and it tries to raise awareness for peace in our everyday life. The Peace Light is distributed throughout the world by hand through cooperation by Boy Scouts and other charitable organizations.
