IF SO, THEN THIS IS YOUR PERFECT PART-TIME JOB WHILE YOU GO TO COLLEGE!

The Waterloo District serves neighborhoods where traditional units typically do not exist by setting up scouting programs on the school premises. We have 30+ schools that will need leaders for the after-school programs in the fall and spring semesters. The job entails teaching basic scouting principles through hands-on activities, games, and outdoor events. Curriculum and materials are provided, along with unit leader training and lots of support. Pay is competitive. Can work as many as five days a week or as little as one day a week. If you are majoring in education, psychology, sociology, or liberal arts, this is a great opportunity to start building your resume! To qualify, you must meet the following requirements:
• Be at least 21 years of age
• Be of good moral character, a good role model
• Able to work some weekdays between 2:30pm to 5:30pm
• Have reliable transportation
• Able to pass criminal background check requirements
• Be mature, patient and able to work well with elementary school-age children
• Have preferably 2 to 3 years Scouting experience
• Bilingual (Spanish) preferred but not required
• You are someone that likes to make a difference and most of all, likes to have fun!!
