Climbing Instructor Training

Climbing and rappelling challenges and captivates the imagination of all ages. The Climbing Instructor course satisfies the requirements of the BSA National Standards, Climb On Safely and the Guide to Safe Scouting, while preparing individuals to supervise and facilitate these activities. It includes the qualification to operate DOK’s Tower at Lost Pines and climbing activities at natural areas around Central Texas.

Note: Our council's Climbing Committee does not provide units with instructors. Units wanting to use the tower must have at least one trained Climbing Instructor.
