March 1, 2021
No one joined Scouting to be on virtual meetings. As the Covid-19 situation improves and Spring weather approaches, now is the perfect time for dens and packs, patrols and troops, and crews and ships that have not been meeting in person to “recharge” their programs and safely get back to what we love best about Scouting.
Our council membership committee is challenging every den/pack, patrol/troop, crew, and ship to hold at least one in-person but safely distanced outdoor activity in March.
Possibilities include:
- Hiking a local trail
- An evening of stargazing
- Fishing a local river or lake
- Playing games in a neighborhood park
- Biking as a group
- Camping
All these activities may be done safely provided we:
- Adhere to social distancing
- Wear masks
- Comply with charter organization policy
If you have questions, please consult with your unit commissioner or visit this page on our site.
