Exploring Post Committee Training
Who should take this training?
New Exploring Post Committee Chairs and Committee Members
Why should I take this training?
The Committee leads the post committee and serves as the liaison between the post and the participating organization (the agency or business that sponsors the post). Working with the post Advisor, you can develop a community in which young people learn to live the values of Exploring: ethical leadership, responsibility for themselves, commitment to others, and enjoying life.
Exploring Committee Training will give you an introduction to everything you need to know about being a Committee Chair, including how to plan your post’s yearly program, recruit new youth members, raise money for your post, and evaluate your program’s success. It won’t answer every single question you have, but it’s a great start. And, it’s available online so you can complete it in 10-minute modules during free time.
Exploring Advisor-Specific Training is available online at My.Scouting.org, so you can complete it in 10-minute modules during free time.
