Capitol Area Council Reception 
Honoring Class of 2018 Eagle Scouts

When: Sunday, February 24, 2019 (NEW DATE)

There will be two separate afternoon events:

Group I (Bee Cave, Colorado River, Hill Country, Live Oak, North Shore, Sacred Springs, and San Gabriel Districts):
  1:00 - 1:30 pm Gathering, photo-ops, meet and greet, check-in
  1:30 - 2:45 pm Program: speakers, recognize Eagle Scouts, present Eagle Scouts with special commemorative coin, unveil 2018 Eagle Scout names on the Eagle Wall
  2:45 pm                 Reception: snacks and more photo-ops

Group II (Armadillo, Blackland Prairie, Chisholm Trail, Thunderbird, and Waterloo Districts):
    4:30 -   5:00 pm Gathering, photo-ops, meet and greet, check-in
    5:00 -   6:15 pm Program: speakers, recognize Eagle Scouts, present Eagle Scouts with special commemorative coin, unveil 2018 Eagle Scout names on the Eagle Wall
    6:15 pm Reception: snacks and more photo-ops

Where:  Sarah Keithley Conference Center in the Frank Fickett Scout Training and Service Center

Who:  2018 Capitol Area Council Eagle Scouts, their families, their Scoutmasters/mentors, Troop friends, and Eagle Scout alumni

What:  This special recognition ceremony will honor those Boy Scouts who successfully completed their Eagle Board of Review during calendar year 2018. 

Fee:  There is no charge for the event nor is any registration needed.  Eagle Scouts will check in to receive their name card when they arrive for the event.

Coin:  All 2018 Capitol Area Council Eagle Scouts who attend will be recognized individually and presented with a special commemorative Capitol Area Council 2018 Eagle Scout coin:



Notes concerning the event:
Updated tablets will be unveiled with all 2018 Eagle Scouts for the Eagle Wall outside the Fickett Center in the Puett Eagle Plaza 
Inspirational ceremony with speakers and video clips that showcase the lifelong influence of being an Eagle Scout 
Coins may be available for purchase through the Steve Matthews Scout Shop for Scouts who cannot attend beginning Monday, February 25, 2019.
Eagle Mentors and Scoutmasters will be asked to stand and be recognized as we call each Eagle Scout forward – please invite them to attend with you
Photo station for family pictures – bring your camera
Eagle Scouts are requested to wear their Scout uniform 
Reception with cake to follow
This will not be a Court of Honor, rather, our Council recognition of the Class of 2018 Eagle Scouts.
