Fickett Center
The Frank Fickett Scout Training and Service Center
The Fickett Center is the main hub for Scout leader training, support, and resources. It’s also home to the Steve Matthews Scout Shop, the Sarah Keithley Conference Center, and the Puett Eagle Wall. Scout units may arrange to use the facility for events and ceremonies. Outside groups may rent the facility for meetings or events.
Location and Hours of Operation
- The Frank Fickett Scout Training and Service Center is located at 12500 North IH 35, Austin, Texas 78753
- Regular business hours: Monday-Friday 9 a.m.-5 p.m. (Scout Shop hours)

UPDATED OFFICE PROCEDURES DUE TO COVID-19
- The Fickett Center is open for normal business hours
- Until further notice, no customers will be allowed into staff office areas
- Social distancing will be enforced for those waiting in line and upon reaching the front desk
- All customers entering the lobby will be required to wear a mask and sanitize their hands (masks and hand sanitizer will be available if needed)
- All customers entering the lobby have the option of wearing gloves (gloves will be available if needed)
- The front desk will be cleaned at least three times a day (morning, lunch, closing)
- The area behind the front desk is for staff use only
Puett Eagle Wall
This monument stands in front of the Frank Fickett Scout Training and Service Center, recognizing all who have earned the rank of Eagle in the more than 100 year history of the Capitol Area Council, Boy Scouts of America. Names of future Eagle classes will be added each year.
The Eagle Wall was made possible through a gift from the Nelson Puett Foundation.
Facility Reservations
The Fickett Center is a tobacco-free, alcohol-free and drug-free facility that offers 4,400 square feet of beautiful rental space for up to 300 people total over its rooms/plazas.
