National Jamboree

The biggest event in Scouting

July 27, 2020 update: The 2021 Scout Jamboree has been postponed due to COVID-19 concerns. The national committee running the Jamboree drafted this list of Frequently Asked Questions to help Scouts and leaders move forward. Our council’s Jamboree Committee has yet to receive additional information, but will be in touch as we learn more about new dates, registration, and more. If you have immediate questions about this announcement, please contact us at [email protected]com

If you would like to register your interest in the Jamboree when the dates are announced then please fill out this no-obligation interest form. Our council committee will reach out to those who have shown interest when new dates are announced.

The National Jamboree is a gathering of some 40,000 Scouts, leaders, and staff held only every four years at The Summit Bechtel Family National Reserve.

Scouts, Venturers, and Sea Scouts attending a Jamboree will enjoy more than five miles of zip line and challenge courses, 36 miles of mountain bike trails, and 13 acres of shooting sports ranges, on a sprawling 10,600-acre site in West Virginia designed for excitement! There are also world class venues for kayaking, rock climbing, bouldering, skateboarding, BMX, plus enjoy arena shows and more.

Scouts who want to go to the National Jamboree have to register as individuals through the National Jamboree website. Once registered, Scouts from our area will be assigned to one of the council’s contingent units going to the Jamboree.

Note: in order to register online you will need a my.scouting account. If you don’t already have one, please visit this page to create a my.scouting account.
